Samples Vienna 2.3 Importing Looping Instruments Presets Tips

SoundFont® Bank Tutorial - Analog Sounds with Vienna 2.3.

This tutorial covers the creation of analog SoundFont® Banks using Vienna, and requires at least some prior knowledge of synthesis concepts. Although the tutorial is easy to follow, having a basic knowledge of synthesis techniques is good for a full understanding of the process. This tutorial is provided under the assumption that you understand or have prior experience with editing sounds on a PC. In particular, you are assumed to have the following:

  •  A SoundFont® Bank-compatible device.

  •  Vienna 2.3. SoundFont® Bank Editor.

  •  Cool Edit 96 or higher, as well as a working knowledge thereof.

  •  Previous experience with synthesis.

Although previous experience with synthesis is not entirely necessary, it will most certainly make the tutorial easier to understand because everyday synthesis terms are used without adequate explanation. You can, however, use the tutorial to complete the tasks set out and still create a sound without fully understanding what each term means.
