YAMAHA CS6X PAGE IS
UP
At the moment it's just links and a forum, but it will hopefully grow into
something useful soon. |

ORDERING PAGE IS
BACK ONLINE
With help not forthcoming from Adaptive after several weeks of negotiation,
we have resorted to rewriting our entire ordering process. Thankfully that
is back online and we are ready to go. Our apologies to all those
inconvenienced by this. |

THE ANALOGUESQUE TEAM
CONTEMPLATES A YAMAHA CS6x SECTION
Yup, you heard it here! We've begun work on CS6x patches, and are
contemplating including them on the website, with the usual tips and tricks
and features similar to what we already have for our other products.
However, the CS6x patches will concentrate more on dance and trance oriented
patches rather than the usual analog emulations. So, expect some punchy
basses, completely sequencable blips and bleeps, and the trance-staple diet
of sawwy leads and such. |

ORDERING PAGE IS
OUT OF ACTION
Critical ASP components were removed from Adaptive.net's servers without
informing us, which resulted in many ASP scripts failing. We have attempted
to get these loaded back by Adaptive, but our efforts have been completely
fruitless. |

ADDED PAYPAL AS A FORM OF
PAYMENT
If you have a PayPal account, you can now pay for items using this. Our
preferred method is still KAGI, but those of you with PayPal accounts will
probably find it easier to pay this way. |

ANOTHER HUGE DISCOUNTING
SPREE
There are now even bigger savings to be had on all available banks, with huge price-reductions across the board. |

UPDATED THE TIPS SECTION
OF THE SOUNDFONT TUTORIAL
From discussions on the Forum board, I have extracted some information and
inserted it into the tips section of the SoundFont Tutorial. The info is
really great if you want to get the most out of your samples, and provides
tips on getting a single sample to sound different using some tricky
techniques we have been using for some time. It's definitely worth the read,
especially if you're excited about the prospect of creating your own analog
SoundFonts. |

2 FREE SOUNDFONTS ADDED
TO THE SOUNDFONT FREEBIES SECTION
These SoundFonts contain several multi-sampled, multi-velocity synth-bass
presets which we had developed for another project, but which were not used.
So, we decided to make them available for free to all our visitors. You'll
find them in the SoundFont Freebies
section. |

CHEEZOIDS IS ADDED TO OUR
LINEUP
Cheezoids is finally available for order. |

WORK BEGINS ON
CELLULOID
Anyone who enjoyed the few tasty, 7-layer, multi-velocity offerings from the
Digital Bliss SoundFont are going to be stoked over Celluloid. This
SoundFont continues our ground-breaking work with analog emulation, but
using multiple layers to give extreme playback satisfaction at varying
velocities. With up to 7 layers of velocity, your touch-sensitive keyboard
will breathe new life into your SoundFont collection when Celluloid is
loaded. This is a real piece of work, and definitely gives the SoundFont
format a much-needed adrenaline injection. |

OUR BRAND NEW SOUNDFONT (CHEEZOIDS)
IS COMPLETE
We have just completed the last pieces of our latest SoundFont - Cheezoids. This will be available in the coming weeks once we have created
downloadable demos and music clips. Cheezoids brings you a whole new set of
128 preset synth sounds. Everything from huge pulse-width, phasing leads and
pads; through to Moog-style basses; enveloping, eerie pads; amazingly full
synth-strings, to cheap (but not thin) sounding and very retro pads and
leads. This SoundFont is sure to be a hit, and is our personal favourite. |

SOUNDFONT COMPETITION
SCRAPPED
For those of you who expressed interest in the SoundFont creation
competition, we regret to inform you that it has been cancelled. The amount
of feedback and interest expressed in the competition was very low, so we
have decided to cancel it. We may still propose further competitions in the
future. |

NEW FREEBIE SOUNDFONT
AVAILABLE
We added a small multi-sampled, 3-layer velocity DX Epiano to the SoundFont
freebies section. It's a nice, clean DX Epiano with a classic sound. |

NEW DEMO ADDED
A small snippet of music was added to demo the Vintage Drums 2001 and
Digital Bliss SoundFont® Banks. |
| 03/10/2002 |
EMU PRESET LISTS
AND DEMOS AVAILABLE
The preset lists for the Emu® banks have now been added to the
Emu® section. Also, we have started loading downloadable preset
demos for these banks. |
| 03/09/2002 |
SY77 PATCH LISTS AVAILABLE
At the request of visitors, we have included the patch name lists for our
SY77 banks. |
| 03/09/2002 |
SY77 DEMOS AVAILABLE
Several people have asked for downloadable demos of the SY77 banks. These
are now available from the SY77 page. Each
demo contains 13 patches. We tried to provide a spectrum of sounds from each
bank, but it is very difficult to gauge which are the best patches. What we
did was divide each bank into various genres, such as bass, lead, pad (etc),
and then choose a few from each. We are currently working on the demo
downloads for the Emu® EOS banks. |
| 03/07/2002 |
DOWNLOAD PROCESS
AVAILABLE
Our download process is now available. Simply pay for your items and we'll
send you an email containing a User ID and Password, and a Link with
instructions to download your items. Very simple and effective. |
| 03/07/2002 |
DOWNLOAD PROCESS IN
THE
WORKS
Our current process of emailing purchases to you is very clumsy and inefficient. However,
this was always destined to be a temporary solution and we are currently testing our new
password-protected download process. Several customers have already used this effectively, so
we should have this available within the next week. |
| 03/06/2002 |
DEMO BANKS
We are working on making demo banks available for the Yamaha® SY77 and Emu® EOS
systems. These should be available within the next 2 weeks. |

WEBSITE OUTAGE
The website is experiencing severe problems currently, and has been all day.
The server is extremely slow and, although connections are possible,
they are very rare and for very short periods. We hope to have this sorted
out as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience. |
| 02/23/2002 |
WEBSITE CHANGES
* Changed the font settings. Some people complained about the font being
illegible on some screen settings.
* Added a TIPS section to the SoundFont® Bank Tutorial. |

SOUNDFONT COMPETITION
Our brand new analog SoundFont® Bank, Cheezoids,
is currently nearing completion. To pre-empt it's launch we will be
announcing a SoundFont® Bank competition, the winner of which will receive
Cheezoids as first prize before anyone else gets their hands on it. More
details regarding this competition will be announced in the forthcoming
weeks.
PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING PART |

AUDIGY PROBLEMS
Analoguesque SoundFont® Banks are being tested on
the Audigy under Windows XP. The bad news is that there are problems with
sustained looping sounds, which cause a system freeze. The good news is that
these seem to be driver and system related issues rather than SoundFont® Bank
specific, since every SoundFont® Bank tested (Including Emu SoundFont® Banks) had the
same disastrous results. Creative's tech support has been notified of the
problem. Although not likely, we are also investigating whether this problem
is specific to our setup.
DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON THIS PROBLEM? |
