Emu® EOS
EOS sound banks that fit onto a 1.44Mb floppy? This must be a
joke!
Absolutely not! Throw away all your preconceptions about requiring
giant samples to give you a phatt sound on your Emu®! You will be stunned
by the wealth of amazing vintage emulations we squeeze into 1.44Mb, and all in
pristine 16-bit, 44.1Khz quality! In fact, the very quality which makes these
banks so small is that which makes them sound so analog. Essentially, we're
going back to basics and using our Emu® sampler like an analog synth
... raw, unrefined, and driven by Emu®'s superior resonance and filtering!
If you've ever heard an Ensoniq ESQ-1 or SQ80, or a Roland Alpha Juno or Korg
DW8000, then you know the power of the analog-digital hybrid synthesis we've got
cooking.
Note: These banks are completely different from our SoundFont
banks - they are not converted SoundFonts.
All patches are assigned an identifying
3-character category, which distinguishes bass sounds from leads and pads.
This allows easy categorizing, as follows:

There are hard-edged leads and stomping basses, swirling
pads, blippy hits, huge resonant sweeps, ground-shaking, ball-breaking
synths, and just about everything the discerning vintage enthusiast could
want in their Emu®! If you're stuck with a sampler and need to add analog ballz to
your mix, we've got exactly what you need in these banks, and it won't break your RAM bank either! Absolutely stonking sounds in a ridiculously low RAM count, and
all in perfect digital quality!
All banks were programmed under EOS 4.10 on an Emu
Esynth Keys sampler, so the modulation wheel, thumby button, and A-D
controllers all perform various tasks (filter cutoff, loop variation ... etc).

presets of phatt analog sounds to
sink your teeth into. Seering leads, thumping basses, mega sweeps, floating
pads, and much, much more. All presets are designed on an Esynth keyboard and take
full advantage of all the assignable controllers and sliders, while digging
deep into Emu®'s superior processing power and filters. As in our SoundFont
Bank collections, the waveforms in these banks are generated using our
proprietary in-house software, so the sounds created are very unique, although
retaining a familiar analog feel to them. What's more, they are all in
pristine 16-bit, 44.1Khz quality, and digital generation leaves them clear of
any distortions due to noise or other sampling anomalies.

Buy all 3 E-Mu Banks for $39.95

These banks can all be saved onto a 3¼ inch floppy disk and
then loaded into your EOS synth. In fact, this is the only way you can get the
E4B format into your Emu® sampler. The E4B format used for the save is compatible
with all Emu® equipment running the EOS operating system. What is E4B
format? It is a DOS-compatible format which is saved from the ESynth onto any
DOS-formatted disk. Although extremely slow and agonizing, the E4B format is
easy to work with, transfer, and download. It takes some time to load
the sounds into your ESynth from floppy, but once they're loaded you can dump them to
your ESynth's internal HDD.
Loading the E4B banks into your Emu requires the following:
1. Your Emu must have a working 3¼ inch floppy drive and be able to accept E4B
format files.
2. You must be able to format a DOS floppy.
